I sprinkle a dash of it in all my delicious healing meals everyday and I sprinkle a dash of it in my golden milk I drink every night. The golden milk I drink is Ayurvedic and very healing and very soothing, especially on cold nights. Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing.” You can read about it in the references below. Turmeric has wonderful healing benefits and I’m very grateful I discovered it. I’ve known about turmeric for 30 years and I’ve studied its benefits throughout my holistic, Ayurveda, self-care journey, but in the recent 10 years, I was very grateful and happy to discover that it can keep me healthy and protect my immune system. I’m not surprised to discover turmeric has more health benefits than I originally thought. I’ve discovered this secret about many healing herbs, like garlic, ginger, and red hot cayenne pepper. Mother Nature’s abundant, healing, herbal medicine cabinet is all we need to feel well and stay healthy and we simply need to be patient and give her a chance to show us how she can help us. The truth is that a little patience is all we need to discover how all healing herbs can help us stay healthy.
I’m sharing my delicious recipe for the Golden Milk I make every night and you can make it any time and enjoy it to keep you healthy and feeling good. You can buy the ingredients are your local organic natural food shop or the healthy section in your local supermarket.
1 dash/pinch of cinnamon powder
1 dash/pinch of ginger powder
1 dash/pinch of turmeric powder
1 C of your favorite vegan, non-dairy, organically, naturally sweetened, vanilla flavored milk
This recipe is very simple. Heat the milk on medium for 5-10 minutes until it bubbles a little. When it starts to bubble, turn off the burner and pour it into your favorite coffee or tea cup or mug. Add the spices and stir and mix well until it’s blended evenly. I prefer to wait until it cools a little so it’s not too hot to drink, but you can do whatever works best for you. Sip it slowly and allow it to soothe you and enjoy. You can drink this as often as you want to and need to.
