This footage features Carl Gustav Jung, one of the most influential figures in the history of psychology, 

in a riveting portrait of one of the most visionary minds of the past century. Shot by artist and composer Jerome Hill at Jung’s home in Switzerland in the summer of 1950. It begins with Jung reading from Lapis Philosphorum, the philosophers stone. With music and cinematography, both by Jerome Hill and editing by Mekas in 1991, this footage creates a revealing portrait of the Swiss psychiatrist in his natural habit.
